Not so fast, it was very very slippery. All the stage we were cleaning a lot of small stones off the surface and we were sliding a lot. I'm happy with my driving but zero grip.

On était pas trop rapides, c'est très glissant. J'ai passé la spéciale à nettoyer des graviers de la surface de la route et nous glissions beaucoup. Je suis content de mon pilotage mais nous n'avions aucune adhérence.

Ei niin nopea. Kovin liukasta oli. Koko pätkän putsasimme pikkukiviä tien pinnasta ja luisteltiin paljon. Ajamiseen olen tyytyväinen, mutta pitoa ei ole.

It's good. I drive my own speed. No, my speed is not good enough but I am happy.

It's amazing when you know the road a bit better it gives you the extra bit of confidence to push on. It's very loose in some places.

Everything is fine. We just touched something with the front left on the inside of a corner and I thought we would get a puncture but everything is OK. It's very, very loose in there.

Kaikki on hienosti. Osuttiin kyllä johonkin vasemmalla eturenkaalla yhden mutkan sisällä, ja luulin että rengas meni, mutta kaikki on OK. Irtosoraa on kovasti.

This stage was a little better and we're trying to commit more and be smoother. One corner I pushed a bit hard. We're taking it step by step.

I'm trying but it's not so easy to do anything except go as quickly as possible as Andreas is behind us. Not a bad stage from us and no so much more I can do. (Now Mats has the word 'Superbanana' on his steering wheel. He told it's there to give him even more confidence.)

Je fais de mon mieux mais il n'y a rien d'autre à faire que d'essayer d'aller le plus vite possible puisqu' Andreas est derrière nous. Cela s'est bien passé mais je ne crois pas pouvoir faire beaucoup plus. (Maintenant il y a écrit "Superbanana" sur son volant. C'est pour lui donner encore plus de confiance en lui.)

We had a clean run. I'm happy enough, we're taking the time so that is good. Many stages to go today, we have to keep on what we're doing.

I will never go crazy, I said it from the beginning. This one I was a little too cautious. Not too bad.

I did whatever I had to do yesterday. Very slippery off line. The road is really narrow. If you get the wheels on the loose you are sliding but there is no room to slide. I think Jari is going to blitz everyone but I'm happy.

J'ai fait ce que j'avais à faire hier. C'est très glissant en dehors de la trajectoire, la route est vraiment étroite. Si vous passez sur les graviers vous dérapez mais il n'y a pas la place pour déraper. Je crois que Jari est en train de tous nous pulvériser mais je suis content.

Tein eilen kaiken mitä pitikin. Linjan sivussa on tosi liukasta. Tie on tosi kapea. Jos ajaudut irtosoralle, luistelet, mutta luistelulle ei ole tilaa. Jari-Matti taitaa pieksää kaikki, mutta olen tyytyväinen.

2. Jari-Matti Latvala (FIN) / Miikka Anttila (FIN) - Volkswagen Polo R WRC
I like this stage, it's one of my favourites in the rally. There are very technical places, small and big roads. Miikka said to me "you are having a beautiful drive". I said "when it's nice, it's easy".

J'aime bien cette spéciale, c'est l'une de mes prédérées, avec des endroits techniques, des routes larges puis étroites. Mikka m'a félicité pour ma conduite mais je lui ai dit que quand c'était sympa, c'était facile.

Tämä on yksi suosikeistani tässä rallissa. Monta teknistä paikkaa, isoa ja pientä tietä. Miikka sanoi, että ajo sujuu hienosti. Kun on fiilis päällä, se tulee helposti.

It was a puncture. I have had punctures earlier, I try to be cautious but a corner I took a little too much inside. Not much I can do. The jack kept sliding when we were changing the wheel, which also cost us some time.

C'était une crevaison. J'avais déjà crevé et faisais attention mais j'ai pris un virage trop à l'intérieur. Rien à faire et en plus le cric glissait en permanence quand on changeait la roue ce qui nous a fait perdre encore plus de temps.

Joo, rengas meni tiessä olevaan kiveen. Koitin olla varovainen, mutta yhdessä mutkassa menin liikaa sisältä. Täällä on ennenkin mennyt renkaita. Tunkkikin luisti rengasta vaihtaessa alta, ja siinä meni aikaa. Ei ole paljoa tehtävissä.

31. Yazeed Al Rajhi (SAU) / Michael Orr (GBR) - Ford Fiesta RRC
I hope it continues like that and we enjoy not an easy stage. Seb is out of the road but I think he tries to come back.

We have a good pace. This was a basic stage. We are playing it safe and marking the stones in the pacenotes. We are chasing the second place. It will be a challenging second time around on this stage.

Notre rythme est bon. Cette spéciale était assez classique, on l'a prise avec prudence en inscrivant les pierres dans nos notes. Nous courons après la deuxième place, le deuxième passage sera un vrai défi.
