1. Sebastien Ogier (FRA) / Julien Ingrassia (FRA) - Volkswagen Polo R WRC
It was OK but the grip is really low. Not so easy to find the rhythm. Still it was not bad with the grip we have. The ground is so compact and there is no loose gravel at all but the ground is so hard that they tyre has trouble breaking the surface.

Ihan OK, mutta pitoa ei oikein ollut. Oli vaikea päästä rytmiin. Silti aika hyvä tällä pidolla. Pinta on tiivis, eikä ole irtosoraa, mutta pinta on niin kova että rengas ei oikein pure siihen.

9. Andreas Mikkelsen (NOR) / Ola Floene (NOR) - Volkswagen Polo R WRC
For me I was a bit careful everywhere. When I did my test it was really wet and now the grip is really good and I was suprised. I took it really carefully.

4. Mads Östberg (NOR) / Jonas Andersson (SWE) - Citroën DS3 WRC
It was an OK rhythm. Tricky start to the rally. The road is quite wide and difficult to place the car. The grip is tricky in some places. We are through the first stage and on to the next one.

Löytyi ihan OK rytmi, mutta konstikas alku ralliin. Tie on melko leveä ja on vähän vaikeaa löytää ajolinjat. Pito on paikoitellen hankala. Päästiin läpi eka pätkä, nyt kohti seuraavaa.

2. Jari-Matti Latvala (FIN) / Miikka Anttila (FIN) - Volkswagen Polo R WRC
It's a good stage. We had a moment on the first crest in the stage. In the recce it looked OK so we didn't change anything from last year when we had a big moment. So another little moment this year.

Hyvä pätkä. Ajo kulkee; on hyvä fiilis.Yksi mutka alussa vähän yllätti, ja siinä oli pieni tilanne. Viime vuonna siinä meni vähän leveäksi. Nuotituksessa se vaikutti OK:lta, eikä muutettu nuottia.

7. Thierry Neuville (BEL) / Nicolas Gilsoul (BEL) - Hyundai i20 WRC
My pace was a bit slow so I tried to correct it. There was some plastic on the road which was there from the first guys going through and that distracted me a bit.

A good start. It felt really comfortable. I was expecting it to be more slippery. A couple of little errors where I lost a fraction of mementum. There is a long way to go. I drive the road in front of me, I don't care about the lines from the cars in front.

Hyvä aloitus. Tuntui tosi hyvältä. Odotin liukkaampaa keliä. Pari pikkuvirhettä, joissa hukkasin hiukan vauhtia. Matka on pitkä. Ajan sitä tietä, mikä edessä on, enkä seuraa muiden linjoja.

On the whole the run was good. The grip was better than expected and on the whole I'm happy.

It's good. It's my first event with four wheel drive on gravel. We're break dancing on gravel! It's difficult to know if we are going too fast. I may be going too quick, I need to be careful.
