The speed has been ok but the times have not been so good. Hopefully we'll get a better feeling this afternoon. Just trying to find a limit, it's too far up to the Volkswagens. We can still fight for the podium. I need to use my brain and not take stupid risks and crash.

Vauhti on ollut OK, mutta ajat eivät niinkään hyviä. Toivotaan parempaa fiilistä iltapäivälle. Yritän löytää limitin, mutta Volkswagenien vauhti on liikaa. Voimme vielä taistella palkintopallipaikasta. Pitää vain käyttää päätä eikä ottaa typeriä riskejä ja vetää ulos.

2. Jari-Matti Latvala (FIN) / Miikka Anttila (FIN) - Volkswagen Polo R WRC
It started really well the first stage. The second stage was a bit damp on the top. The first part was breaking up and I was a bit careful, a bit cautious. At the same time Seb had a great drive. Then I drove a response on the second one but I was over attacking there. On the last one I was ok. So this afternoon I try to do it on all the stages. It's a great fight and for sure I need to keep the best of what I have. I'm looking forward to the afternoon as well. I hope this afternoon suits me better. My driving style should suit this afternoon better as I'm a bit more agressive.

2. Jari-Matti Latvala (FIN) / Miikka Anttila (FIN) - Volkswagen Polo R WRC
Eka pätkä käynnistyi hyvin. Toinen oli hieman kostea. Alkupää alkoi mennä vähän karkeaksi, ja olin vähän varovainen, mutta Seb taas ajoi mahtavasti. Sitten vastasin, mutta hyökkäsin liikaa. Viimeisellä meni ihan OK. Iltapäivällä pyritään siihen joka pätkällä. On mahtava taistelu, ja minun pitää pystyä parhaimpaani. Odotan kovasti iltapäivää, ja toivottavasti se sopii minulle paremmin, koska minulla on pikkuisen aggressiivisempi ajotyyli.

1. Sebastien Ogier (FRA) / Julien Ingrassia (FRA) - Volkswagen Polo R WRC
I feel good. It's been a good loop for me. On the first one which was a bit slippy. I'm not committed enough, I'm not here to play everything. At the end of the loop the difference is almost the same as this morning. Let's see what the conditions are like this afternoon. At the moment my tenths are a bit smaller than his tenths. I really push hard in the sections, it's always a small dfference which makes a big diference at the end of the loop. I pray for the rain but it's not coming!

1. Sebastien Ogier (FRA) / Julien Ingrassia (FRA) - Volkswagen Polo R WRC
Tuntuu hyvältä. Lenkki oli minulle hyvä. Ensimmäinen pätkä oli vähän liukas. En ole ihan tarpeeksi omistautunut tälle. Lenkin lopussa ero on suunnilleen sama kuin aamulla. Katsotaan millaiset olosuhteet ovat iltapäivällä. Tällä hetkellä minun kymmenykseni ovat vähän pienempiä kuin hänen. Hyökkään todella, ja aina joku pikku ero tuottaa lenkin lopussa ison eron. Rukoilen sadetta, mutta ei sitä vaan tule!

7. Thierry Neuville (BEL) / Nicolas Gilsoul (BEL) - Hyundai i20 WRC
The stages are nice but we're fighting for traction. The times are not where they should be, struggling for traction. It wasn't easy to fight back the pace after the shakedown crash. After missing shakedown we didn't have the feeling of the stages. I prefer to take it slowy than making a mistake. We can be happy with this position.

7. Thierry Neuville (BEL) / Nicolas Gilsoul (BEL) - Hyundai i20 WRC
Mukavia pätkiä, mutta taistelemme pidon kanssa. Ajat eivät ole sellaisia kuin pitäisi, pitovaikeuksien vuoksi. Ei ollut helppoa päästä takaisin vauhtiin testi-ek:n kolarin jälkeen. Emme saaneet kunnon tuntumaa pätkiin missattuamme testi-ek:n. Mieluummin ajamme hitaammin kuin teemme virheitä. Olemme tyytyväisiä sijoitukseemme.

5. Elfyn Evans (GBR) / Daniel Barritt (GBR) - Fiesta RS WRC
The fix was my idea but it comes back from the R2 days of broken gear linkages. It was a tough day to get through. It's a miracle that we made it back. The feeling was really good. We didn't feel like we were in the position where we were when we went off. Feeling comfortable in the car. we ran ever so slightly wide. We were lucky to continue as it was a big, big moment. We don't want a repeat of yesterday but we still want to keep developing, still learning. I still have work to do. It's going OK and we'll keep working on it. [Daniel Barrit] I would say that rock was half the size of the car so pretty big. We thought it was all over when that happened. It wasn't so bad and did running repairs all day. Todays a new day and we're trying to forget about what happened yesterday. The later stages are quite a bit different. The ground is softer so we're expecting it to be quite rough.

5. Elfyn Evans (GBR) / Daniel Barritt (GBR) - Fiesta RS WRC
Se fiksaus oli minun ideani ja se juontaa R2-aikoihin, jolloin vaihdevivustoja särkyi. On ollut rankkaa päästä läpi. Ihme, että päästiin takaisin. Fiilis oli kyllä hyvä. Ei tuntunut siltä, että olisimme olleet sillä sijalla miltä menimme ulos. Autossa tuntui hyvältä, mutta mentiin leveäksi. Onneksi päästiin jatkamaan, sillä se oli aikamoinen tilanne. Emme halua toisintoa eilisestä, mutta haluamme kehittyä ja oppia. Työtä on tehtävänä, mutta hyvin menee. Daniel Barrit: Sanoisin, että se kivi oli autonpuolikkaan kokoinen, eli aika iso. Luultiin jo, että siinä se kisa sitten oli. Ei se ollutkaan niin paha, ja korjailtiin pitkin matkaa. Tänään on uusi päivä, ja koitetaan unohtaa eilinen. Myöhäisemmät pätkät ovat hieman erilaisia. Pinta on pehmeämpi, joten se voi mennä aika rajuun kuntoon.

3. Kris Meeke (GBR) / Paul Nagle (IRL) - Citroën DS3 WRC
Finland is just incredible. Yesterday we had our little issues. We managed to drive around them. Last night the guys changed all the transmission and the car felt completely different. On the last stage I had a bit of a moment on the crest. In my position now I can back off. We're not a million miles away but we're out of the fight for the lead. It's a bit humid which creates a bit more grip as the gravel binds together. The second pass is going to be a lot different. It feels so much more comfortable inside the car. I feel comfortable and I'll see where my times are. My priority is to hold my position and build my speed if I feel comfortable.

3. Kris Meeke (GBR) / Paul Nagle (IRL) - Citroën DS3 WRC
Suomessa on ihan uskomatonta. Eilen oli vähän ongelmia, mutta onnistuimme kiertämään ne. Viime yönä kaverit vaihtoivat koko voimansiirron, ja auto tuntui nyt täysin eriltä. Viimeisellä pätkällä oli pieni tilanne yhdessä nypyssä. Tällä sijalla voin vähän höllätä. Emme ole miljoonien mailien päässä, mutta pois kärkikamppailusta. On vähän kosteaa, se saa aikaan paremman pidon ja sitoo soraa. Toinen kierros tulee olemaan hyvin erilainen. Auton sisällä on paljon miellyttävämpää. Oloni on parempi aikojen suhteen. Ykköstavoitteeni on säilyttää sijoitukseni ja lisätä vauhtia, jos se tuntuu hyvältä.
