[Tomi Tuominen] It's the first day back in the car after Rally GB. We should have done at least 50km testing before jumping into the deep end. It's taking a bit of time to get into the groove again.

Kartturi Tomi Tuominen: Ollaan ensimmäistä päivää autossa Walesin MM-rallin jälkeen. Olisi pitänyt testata ainakin 50 km ennen tositoimiin hyppäämistä. Ottaa aikaa päästä taas vauhtiin.

We had four runs through. We made some small changes and are happy with the car after the pre event test on Friday and Saturday. It was suprisingly slippery this morning and damp in places. A few other drivers had made mistakes in their first run.

Ajettiin neljä vetoa. Tehtiin pieniä muutoksia ja ollaan tyytyväisiä autoon perjantain ja lauantain testien jälkeen. Oli paikoitellen yllättävän liukasta ja kosteaa. Muutamillle kuljettajille sattui virheitä ekalla vedolla.

[Look relaxed but was perspiring and had been working hard] I have a great feeling with the car. Everything has worked well this morning. I have made a few changes with the setup of the roll bars and that's improved the car.

Taking it pretty easy so far. We took it easy over the jump in there. It's our first time in Finland and they are very different forests to Australia. No changes to the car, happy with it so far.

I was happy enough with the first run. I was very careful over the jump. Doing three runs and see if we need to make any changes after that. So far so good.

[Last year Esapekka was spectating on this stage as his IRC programme didn't allow him to compete on this event] Never again I will miss this rally. It was painful to miss my favourite rally last year. Fastest in class so far. Everything is OK. Only some small adjustments to make. We had a good test here in Finland.

(Viime vuonna Esapekka oli täällä katsojana, koska tämä ralli ei sopinut hänen IRC-sarjan ohjelmaansa.) En enää koskaan halua missata tätä rallia. Oli tuskallista olla pois suosikkirallistani viime vuonna. Meillä on luokan toistaiseksi nopein aika. Kaikki on OK; tehdään vain pieniä hienosäätöjä. Meillä oli hyvät testit Suomessa.
