5. Thierry Neuville (BEL) / Nicolas Gilsoul (BEL) - Hyundai i20 Coupe WRC
I struggled a bit to find the confidence on the first two stages. We adjusted the settings a bit and it was better. Then we were cleaning the stage and it was hard to get some grip. With the gravel on the road I can't do much more. Now we have to keep focussed on the weather and different road conditions this afternoon. I was looking a bit at Ogier's lines and he was taking huge risks. Toyota is at another level here.

Taistelin löytääkseni itseluottamuksen ensimmäisille pätkille. Säädimme vähän asetuksia ja se auttoi. Jouduimme putsaamaan pätkää ja oli vaikea löytää pitoa. Toyota on täällä aivan omalla tasollaan.

2. Ott Tänak (EST) / Martin Järveoja (EST) - Ford Fiesta WRC
We damaged a wheel and broke a drive shaft and lost some time. Lucky to have no big damage and be able to continue at decent speed. Not so bad to do both loops in a row, the conditions were not bad. The rally is still long and everything can happen. Let's try to catch the Huyndais.

2. Ott Tänak (EST) / Martin Järveoja (EST) - Ford Fiesta WRC
Rengas vaurioitui, vetoakseli rikkoutui, ja siinä menetettiin aikaa. Onneksi ei tullut isompaa vahinkoa, ja pystyttiin jatkamaan kohtuuvauhtia. Ei hassumpaa tehdä kaksi lenkkiä putkeen; olosuhteet eivät olleet huonot. Ralli on pitkä ja sitä on vielä paljon jäljellä; mitä vain voi tapahtua. Yritetään saada Hyundait kiinni.

10. Jari-Matti Latvala (FIN) / Miikka Anttila (FIN) - Toyota Yaris WRC
I'm feeling very good. It's quite exciting to see two Toyotas in the front. I knew Esapekka was going to be fast but I didn't expect such a big hurricane. He's been doing well. The car is there, I can't do anything with the car so I have to focus on the driving. You have to be confident in the car here. I think I have a little bit more. I've been trying to avoid taking big risks. Today has been about taking it cleanly though and being close to the front, if you are leading that's better. The challenge will be greater on Saturday.

10. Jari-Matti Latvala (FIN) / Miikka Anttila (FIN) - Toyota Yaris WRC
Tuntuu hyvältä. On hienoa nähdä kaksi Toyotaa kärjessä. Tiesin, että Esapekka menee kovaa, mutta ihan tuollaista en odottanut. Auto toimii, enkä voi tehdä sille mitään, joten pitää keskittyä ajamiseen. Täällä autossa pitää olla luottamusta. Olen koittanut välttää kovia riskejä. Tänään on pitänyt mennä puhtaasti ja pysyä kärjen tuntumassa. Parempi on olla johdossa. Lauantaina haaste on vielä kovempi.

6. Dani Sordo (ESP) / Marc Marti (ESP) - Hyundai i20 Coupe WRC
I enjoyed the second pass with the car, it was really nice. It's not far but we need to do a little bit more. We are trying. I think we need to start thinking a little, we are in the front now, it was good for the position of the road, we keep the setup as it is and maybe modify a little for grip.

6. Dani Sordo (ESP) / Marc Marti (ESP) - Hyundai i20 Coupe WRC
Nautin toisesta lenkistä, se oli kiva. Ei olla kaukana, mutta täytyy tehdä vähän lisää, yritämme kyllä. Täytyy vähän pohtia jatkoa lähtöpaikan kannalta. Pidetään nämä asetukset tai muutetaan ehkä hiukan pidon parantamiseksi.

9. Craig Breen (IRL) / Scott Martin (GBR) - Citroën C3 WRC
[Scott Martin] We don't see any damage. We've made some small gains but any small things that are not quite right get amplified out there. It's been quite tricky and we're still in the fight and there are a few of us in the fight for third and the two Toyotas in front are not far away. I think we did a good job this morning, no mistakes. The notes have been working really, really well. We are travelling with more speed but we have more aero downforce. It's working well so far.

9. Craig Breen (IRL) / Scott Martin (GBR) - Citroën C3 WRC
[Scott Martin] Ei näy vaurioita. Saatiin vähän kiinni, mutta pienetkin pielessä olevat jutut moninkertaistuvat. On ollut haasteellista, mutta ollaan muutaman muun kanssa mukana taistelussa kolmossijasta. Toyotat kärjessä eivät ole kaukana. Aamulla tehtiin hyvää työtä, eikä tullut virheitä. Nuotit ovat toimineet tosi hyvin. Vauhtia on enemmän, mutta on myös downforcea. Tähän asti on toiminut hyvin.

12. Esapekka Lappi (FIN) / Janne Ferm (FIN) - Toyota Yaris WRC
It's been good for sure. On the first stage this morning I was too slow and I pushed more and more. I actually made one tiny mistake in Urria but forgot to tell you about it as I was so excited! I think it's pretty good. I found a good rhythm to drive. I'm pretty much on the limit, if I try more I will end in the forest. Our road position is not so good if it rains. It has been a long day. It's no use even talking about finishing the rally, let alone winning it.

On tosiaankin mennyt hyvin. Aamun ekalla pätkällä tultiin liian hitaasti, mutta kun hyvä rytmi löytyy, niin mikä on mennessä. Urriassa mokasin yhden mutkan, mutta olin niin innoissani, että unohdin kertoa sen haastatteluissa! Ajan jo aika limitillä, ja jos hyökkään vielä lisää, ollaan metsässä. On ollut aika pitkä päivä. On turha vielä puhua edes maaliin pääsemisestä - saati sitten rallin voittamisesta.

14. Mads Østberg (NOR) / Torstein Eriksen (NOR) - Ford Fiesta WRC
I feel very comfortable. It's just a nice atmosperhere in the car and the co-driver is giving me really good onfidence, he sounds so calm. It's really nice, I'm really happy with that and I'm really enjoying the stages. We need to continue where we are, such small gaps. It's so close I don't really know where to find seconds. You win a tenth and lost a tenth. It will be three long days at at the end there will just be small margins between the drivers.

14. Mads Østberg (NOR) / Torstein Eriksen (NOR) - Ford Fiesta WRC
Olen tyytyväinen. Autossa on hyvä tunnelma, ja kartturi kuulostaa niin rauhalliselta, että se lisää itseluottamustani. Todella mukavaa, olen tyytyväinen ja nautin pätkistä. Täytyy jatkaa siitä mihin jäätiin, ja erot ovat todella pieniä. Todella vaikeaa keksiä mistä repiä ne sekunnit eroa; jossain voittaa kymmenyksen, jossain häviää. Kolme pitkää päivää ja lopussa marginaalit kuljettajien välillä ovat todella pienet.

Nice to be fast especially on a home rally. We need experience here! On some stages we have done a good luck avoiding mistakes.The feeling is good, especially in this amazing car on these amazing stages. We are pretty close to the limit but have not made any mistakes. It's my first WRC rally in Finland, Jari-Matti has gained through experience. In some stages I've done really good work.

15. Teemu Suninen (FIN) / Mikko Markkula (FIN) - Ford Fiesta WRC
Kiva olla nopea erityisesti kotikisassa. Me tarvitaan täältä kokemusta. Joillakin pätkillä on ollut onneakin, ja on pysytty kaukana virheistä. Fiilis on hyvä, erityisesti tässä mahtavassa autossa näillä upeilla pätkillä. Ollaan jo aika limitillä, mutta ei ole tehty virheitä. Tämä on minulle ensimmäinen WRC-ralli Suomessa. Jari-Matille on ollut hyötyä kokemuksesta. Joillakin pätkillä olen onnistunut tosi hyvin.

Nothing special, a little hesitation when there is not much grip. We are not that far off and there is a long way to go. Everything is working well no problem with the car.

It was a good morning, it wasn't nice in the last stage with the rain but no mistakes. At the end of the stage it was really heavy rain. When I'm in the car and I feel it's possible then I push.

It was no like we expected, the car was a bit stiff, the confidence was not there. It's easy to lose time when you don't feel confident here. I will try to be a bit faster this afternoon and we will make some slight changes to the set-ups, it's a very nice rally!

32. Simone Tempestini (ROU) / Giovanni Bernacchini (ITA) - Citroën DS3 R5
Ei sujunut ihan niinkuin odotin, auto oli vähän jäykkä, ei löytynyt itseluottamusta. Kun itseluottamus ei ole kohdillaan, hukkaa helposti aikaa. Yritän olla vähän nopeampi iltapäivällä ja tehdään pieniä muutoksia asetuksiin. Oikein kiva ralli!

36. Quentin Gilbert (FRA) / Renaud Jamoul (BEL) - Skoda Fabia R5
It's been working well for us, the car is fine. The afternoon will be interesting with the rain, we will keep pushing, we are fourth on WRC2 and hope for a podium. It's an incredible rally and I take a maximum pleasure behind the wheel.

36. Quentin Gilbert (FRA) / Renaud Jamoul (BEL) - Skoda Fabia R5
Meillä on toiminut hyvin, ja auto on hyvä. Iltapäivästä tulee mielenkiintoinen, jos sataa. Jatketaan hyökkäystä. Ollaan WRC2:ssa neljäntenä ja toivotaan palkintopallipaikkaa. Tämä on uskomaton ralli, ja ratin takana nautin täysillä.

34. Fergus Greensmith (GBR) / Craig Parry (GBR) - Ford Fiesta R5
The second stage of the loop I was playing catch up. The car feels really good but we had a problem with a shaft on the last stage and lost about 10 seconds. I think I'm the ony one that's glad it's raining. We'll see where we are at the end of today and replan but I need to get the miles on this event as I've never finished this rally.

34. Fergus Greensmith (GBR) / Craig Parry (GBR) - Ford Fiesta R5
Kierroksen toisella pätkällä sain vähän kiinni. Auto tuntuu tosi hyvältä, mutta oli vähän akseliongelmia viimeisellä pätkällä ja menetettiin noin 10 sekuntia. Luultavasti olen ainoa, joka on tyytyväinen sateeseen. Katsotaan missä ollaan päivän lopussa ja tehdään uusia suunnitelmia, mutta meidän täytyy saada kilometrejä tässä rallissa ja päästä maaliin asti.
