We changed the car in the second pass and it was not good for me, so I'm not disappointed to miss the stage. The stages are quite fast but have tricky sections. There will be a lot of loose gravel for us.

Muutettiin autoa toiselle luupille, mutta se ei ollut kovin hyvä, joten ei harmita se toisen Lankamaan peruminen. Pätkät ovat aika nopeita, mutta siellä on hankalia osuuksia.. Meille on luvassa paljon irtosoraa.

11. Thierry Neuville (BEL) / Martijn Wydaeghe (BEL) - Hyundai i20 N Rally1 Hybrid
The target is to catch Katsuta and get a better road position for tomorrow. We want to get a better road position. There will be some road cleaning this afternoon, let's try. For the driver it is good to get more used to Finnish roads with testing. For the car we did mainly developments but we only have two bits of road used by three drivers. I think it's going to stay dry, for the tyre choice it doesn't make a difference.

11. Thierry Neuville (BEL) / Martijn Wydaeghe (BEL) - Hyundai i20 N Rally1 Hybrid
Tavoite on saada Katsuta kiinni ja päästä paremmalle lähtöpaikalle huomiseksi. Iltapäivälle on tiedossa jonkin verran tien putsaamista, mutta yritetään. Kuljettajan kannalta on hyvä saada tuntumaa Suomen teihin testeissä. Autoa kehitettiin, mutta meillä oli vain kaksi tienpätkää kolmen kuljettajan käytössä. Luulenpa, että keli pysyy kuivana eikä juuri vaikuta rengasvalintoihin.

We've not done a lot of kilometers in this loop. It's been OK but short. This afternoon is a bit more narrow, technical and rocky - I think they've been used more.

8. Ott Tänak (EST) / Martin Järveoja (EST) - Hyundai i20 N Rally1 Hybrid
It's a shame the stage was cancelled but a good warning for the spectators to please respect the marshalls and to stay safe. It would be a good feeling if it's like this at the end of the rally, there's no points at the moment, we have to keep pushing. The next roads will be more narrow and technical and a different characteristics. We're still working on the car to make it more neutral and comfortable.

8. Ott Tänak (EST) / Martin Järveoja (EST) - Hyundai i20 N Rally1 Hybrid
Sääli, että toinen Lankamaa peruttiin, mutta se oli hyvä huomautus katsojille siitä, että toimitsijoita pitää totella ja pysyä turvassa. Olisi varmaa hyvä fiilis, jos tilanne on tämä rallin lopussakin. Pisteitä ei vielä ole, joten pitää jatkaa puskemista. Seuraavat tiet ovat kapeampia, teknisiä ja luonteeltaan vaihtelevia. Auton kanssa tehdään vielä töitä, että saadaan se neutraalimmaksi ja mukavammaksi.

18. Takamoto Katsuta (JPN) / Aaron Johnston (IRL) - Toyota GR Yaris Rally1 Hybrid
I spun and lost a couple of seconds so it wasn't a good start but overall I have a good feeling with the car and it's working well. Some stages I feel more comfortable with the car so it's a bit up and down but I try to push. I just need to keep good confidence and build on that. When Thierry starts a big push he'll be very quick. I need to be smooth and push but be careful as it's easy to lose time and it's hard to get back. Tomorrow is a long day. I've not checked the weather yet, I hope it's not wet later.

18. Takamoto Katsuta (JPN) / Aaron Johnston (IRL) - Toyota GR Yaris Rally1 Hybrid
Spinnasin ja menetin muutamia sekunteja, joten se ei ollut mikään hyvä startti, mutta kaiken kaikkiaan minulla on hyvä tunne autosta, ja se toimii hyvin. Joillakin pätkillä auto taas tuntuu paremmalta, joten se on vähän sellaista ylä- ja alamäkeä, mutta yritän puskea. Täytyy vain pitää hyvää itseluottamusta päällä ja rakentaa sille. Kun Thierry aloittaa hyökkäyksen, hän on tosi nopea. Minun täytyy olla tasainen ja pitää vauhtia yllä, mutta pitää myös olla varovainen, koska aikaa hukkuu helposti, ja sitä on vaikea voittaa takaisin. Huominen on pitkä päivä.

Quite consistent conditions. It's a pity we missed the stage, if you're scared looking at us then we're scared looking at you so take care. I always struggle in Harju so take care in there. I'm looking forward to the stages this afternoon. It was this loop of stages where we were leading last year.

42. Craig Breen (IRL) / Paul Nagle (IRL) - Ford Puma Rally1 Hybrid
Aika tasaiset ja johdonmukaiset olosuhteet. Sääli, että Lankamaa jäi pois. Jos teitä pelottaa katsella meitä, niin kyllä meitäkin pelottaa katsella teitä. Olkaahan siis varovaisia! Harjulla minulla on aina vaikeaa. Odotan kovasti iltapäivän pätkiä. Tällä lenkillä me olimme viime vuonna johdossa.

16. Adrien Fourmaux (FRA) / Alexandre Coria (FRA) - Ford Puma Rally1 Hybrid
We have lost the power steering just as we left the service park. There was a leak near the sump guard. We tried not to lose too much time. I think we did quite well considering we had no power steering. It's not easy on the arms. It's not fixable and OK if there was no leak underneath but we saw it was a big leak and that was it. We need to fix the car and my arms now. Some ice.

Menetimme ohjaustehostimen heti huoltoparkista lähdön jälkeen. Vuoto oli lähellä pohjapanssaria. Yritettiin olla menettämättä paljon aikaa. Siihen nähden, ettei meillä ollut ohjaustehostinta pärjättiin aika hyvin. Käsivarret ovat kovilla. Ohjaustehostinta ei voinut korjata, sillä vuotokohtaa ei nähnyt alhaalta mutta isosti se vuosi. Nyt täytyy saada auto ja käsivarteni korjattua. Jäätä kiitos.

It was a shame from our side to lose that stage, we did well on the first pass and were looking forward to the second. The stages this afternoon, it's probably a bit more technical, sometimes a bit more narrow and everyone knows them. It's very good if it rains then stops before me. I had my rain already on the Estonia power stage when the wipers could not keep up.

4. Esapekka Lappi (FIN) / Janne Ferm (FIN) - Toyota GR Yaris Rally1 Hybrid
Todella harmi, että tuo EK piti perua, sillä ajoimme siellä hyvin ensimmäisellä kierroksella ja olimme jo valmistautuneet seuraavaan. Tämän iltapäivän pätkät ovat vähän teknisempiä ja osa kapeampia. Lisäksi ne ovat kaikille tuttuja. Olisi hyvä, jos sataisi ja sade loppuisi juuri ennen vuoroani.- Sain Viron rallin power stagella jo oman osuuteni sateesta, kun pyyhkijät eivät jaksaneet.

27. Sami Pajari (FIN) / Enni Mälkönen (FIN) - Skoda Fabia Evo
It's quite a special feeling to be here in this type of car. When it comes to competition it's difficult. You can always find some room for improvement so maybe we can find some things. On paper the differences are not that huge but when it goes to real action it comes to quite a big step, it's a quicker car and all the things you can do with this car. I think we should continue like the same this afternoon. I think most of our rivals have done the stages more than me but maybe the second run will be OK.

27. Sami Pajari (FIN) / Enni Mälkönen (FIN) - Skoda Fabia Evo
On kyllä hieno fiilis olla täällä tällaisella autolla. Kilpailua ajatellen on kyllä haastavaa. Aina voi parantaa, joten ehkä saamme uutta oppia. Paperilla erot eivät ole niin suuret, mutta tositoiminnassa ne huomaa. Auto on nopeampi ja tarjoaa monia mahdollisuuksia. Yritämme jatkaa samaan tapaan iltapäivällä. Luulisin, että suurin osa kilpakumppaneistamme on ajanut useammin nämä pätkät kuin minä, mutta ehkäpä seuraava kierros sujuu vielä paremmin.

21. Teemu Suninen (FIN) / Mikko Markkula (FIN) - Hyundai i20 N
The pace has been good and we've been driving quite good. That's rallying sometimes if there are too many spectators on the stages. Everyone is close to the limit here, when you go over the limit you know where you are. For me rain doesn't make a huge difference. When there is proper farmers tarmac the grip is OK.

Vauhti on ollut hyvä ja olemme ajaneet melko hyvin. Tällaista rallinajo joskus on, kun pätkillä on liikaa yleisöä. Kaikki ajavat äärirajoilla, ja kun rajan ylittää, tietää niin tehneensä. Minulle sateella ei ole suurta merkitystä. Siellä missä on torpparin asfalttia, on pitokin OK.
