It has been an OK morning. A new experience - a lot of cleaning. It's good to learn these new conditions. Hopefully in the future I have to clean but because I'm leading the championship - it's a dream! I have no problems.

On ollut ihan OK aamu. Uusi kokemus - paljon putsaushommia. On hyvä oppia näitä uusia olosuhteita. Toivottavasti sitä tarvitsee tehdä jatkossa siksi, että johdan sarjaa - se on unelmani! Ei ole ongelmia.

It's a really nice stage. It's really nice when the roads are familiar, it gives you more confidence to push on. Every stage is a bit better, I'm happy. Some day I will get there. I just need to set things up step by step, this is the most difficult rally to learn a WRC car.

C'est une superbe spéciale, c'est vraiment sympa quand on connait déjà les spéciales, on peut y être à fond en toute confiance. Chaque spéciale s'améliore, j'en suis content.Un jour j'y arriverai, il me faut encore apprendre, c'est l'épreuve la plus difficile sur laquelle prendre en mains une WRC.

Todella mukava pätkä. On mukavaa, kun tiet ovat tuttuja; saa lisää uskallusta hyökätä. Pätkä pätkältä paranee, olen tyytyväinen. Täytyy vaan opetella askel kerrallaan. Tämä on vaikein mahdollinen ralli opetella WRC-autoa.

A nice stage, again a lot of people. A bit busy and again sliding a lot.

Kaikki kunnossa, ei huolta. Mikään ei ole pielessä. Aamu on nyt ajettu, ei mennyt ihan toiveiden mukaan, mutta en ole vielä liian kaukana kärjestä. Nyt täytyy päästä huoltoon lataamaan enemmänkin minua kuin autoa.

It's not so much more to do. I felt like I got this stage together but I hit a big rock in the braking line and I slowed as i thought I had a puncture, but we didn't have a puncture. We lost a few seconds in a small section. We were unlucky to hit the rock but lucky not to puncture as the impact was massive.

Pas grand chose de plus à faire. Je pensais m'en être bien sorti puis nous avons heruté une gros pierre sur un freinage et j'ai ralenti pensant à tort avoir crevé. Nous avons perdu quelques secondes dans une petite portion. Cette pierre est dommage mais nous avons eu de la chance de ne pas crever parce que l'impact était vraiment impressionnant.

Ei ole paljon tehtävissä. Tuntui, että hyvin menee, mutta sitten osuttiin isoon kiveen jarrutuslinjalla ja luulin, että rengas puhkesi, mutta ei se sitten ollutkaan puhjennut. Hukattiin vähän aikaa pikkuosuudella. Meillä oli epäonnea, kun osuttiin kiveen, mutta onnea sikäli ettei tullut rengasrikkoa, jonka vaikutukset olisivat olleet massiiviset.

We have had a good morning. We're trying to push but nothing too much. Keeping the car in line and not making stuff to difficult. It's a long afternoon and it will be quite rough with punctures.

I guess that Jari will be quicker. I tried but I made a lot of small mistakes. It must be on the brake points, I struggle to brake on the right points, I'm braking too early and too late. No big drama and this afternoon it will be quite rough and so different stages. 30 seconds to Jari in Finland is quite a lot, you would have to be crazy. It would be stupid to push like hell to catch him with a 30 second gap.

Je pense que Jari fera un meilleur temps. J'ai essayé mais j'ai fait plusieurs petites erreurs, je crois sur les points de freinage que je prends trop tôt ou trop tard. Rien de dramatique mais cet après-midi sera rude sur certaines spéciales bien modifiées. Un écart de 30 secondes sur Jari est beaucoup en Finlande, il faudrait être fou pour pousser comme un malade alors qu'il est à 30 secondes.

Jari-Matti taitaa olla nopeampi. Yritin, mutta tuli monta pikkuvirhettä. Ongelma on varmaankin jarrutuspaikoissa. Ne eivät vaan osu kohdalleen. Jarrutan liian aikaisin ja liian myöhään. Ei isompaa draamaa, mutta iltapäivällä tulee aika rajua ja ihan erilaisia pätkiä. 30 sekuntia Jari-Mattiin on Suomessa aika paljon. Olisi ihan hullua hyökätä hurjasti ja yrittää tavoittaa hänet.

I had a big moment in the last stage. Here, I tried to get back into my rhythm and hold position and get back to service. Here I've always been slow, I have to find something in here but that will be next year.

Edellisellä tuli paha tilanne. Täällä yritin takaisin rytmiin, pitää sijan ja päästä huoltoon. Olen aina ollut täällä hidas. Jotakin tänne pitää keksiä, mutta se jää ensi vuoteen.

[Something flapping under the car] Sometimes a cooling pipe just breaks, it's an air cooling pipe for the brakes but it's nothing serious.
