It's a really fast stage, really nice and fun to drive. It's not a bad time, it's nice I really enjoyed it.

I was enjoying parts of the stage, the notes were not exactly correct. I was struggling a little on the recce and now I've been able to tell Miikka how to change them. You can always be a bit quicker. There is more grip as it is a little damp and so I am even with Seb. [250th stage win for the VW team]

2. Jari-Matti Latvala (FIN) / Miikka Anttila (FIN) - Volkswagen Polo R WRC
J'ai bien aimé certaines portions mais nos notes n'étaient pas parfaites. J'ai eu un peu de mal pendant les reconnaissances et j'ai pu maintenant les affiner avec Miikka. On peut toujours être plus rapide. L'adhérence est meilleure car le sol est humide donc je suis à égalité avec Seb. (250ème victoire de spéciale pour le team VW).

Hyvä fiilis, tosi kiva ajaa. Tämä oli ekoja pätkiä, joita nuotitettiin, ja muutama nuotti ei ollut ihan kohdallaan. Nyt Miikka sai niitä muutettua. Aina voi olla nopeampi. Pitoa on hyvin, kun on vähän kosteaa, ja siinä ollaan Sebin kanssa tasoissa.

4. Mads Østberg (NOR) / Jonas Andersson (SWE) - Citroen DS3 WRC
We're going in the right direction at least. It's very frustrating, it's hard work. We need to work a little bit with the car, we are not as good as the test. I'm trying to build confidence in the car, I try to push and I make some mistakes which pushed me back a bit.

4. Mads Østberg (NOR) / Jonas Andersson (SWE) - Citroen DS3 WRC
Les choses vont enfin dans le bon sens. C'est très frustrant car nous travaillons beaucoup. La voiture a encore besoin d'améliorations, elle se comporte moins bien que pendant les tests. Je fais mon maximum mais j'ai fait quelques erreurs qui m'ont ralenti.

Ainakin mennään oikeaan suuntaan, mutta on tämä turhauttavaa ja kovaa työtä. Auton kanssa pitää tehdä töitä; ei olla yhtä nopeita kuin testeissä. Yritän saada luottoa autoon. Hyökkään ja teen välillä virheitä, mikä pudotti minua hiukan.

I think it's fantastic, I really really enjoyed it. You lose a little bit in a couple of places and you quickly lose time when it's so fast.

We've no aerodynamics on the rear, no wing either. I have to be very careful on the fast parts and on the jumps. You need to know the stage quite well, my pacenotes are too slow. There is no feeling, I don't know what I've done.

7. Thierry Neuville (BEL) / Nicolas Gilsoul (BEL) - Hyundai i20 WRC
Nous avons perdu l'aérodynamisme arrière aisni que qu'une aile. Je dois me montrer prudent sur les portions rapides et sur les jumps. Il faut bien connaître la route et mes notes sont un peu lentes. Le feeling est moyen, je ne sais pas ce que j'ai fait.

7. Thierry Neuville (BEL) / Nicolas Gilsoul (BEL) - Hyundai i20 WRC
Takasiipi puuttuu, eikä aerodynamiikka toimi. Nopeissa paikoissa ja hypyissä pitää varoa. Pätkä pitää tuntea. Nuotit ovat minulla liian hitaat. Ei ole oikeaa fiilistä; en tiedä mitä olen oikein tehnyt.

3. Kris Meeke (GBR) / Paul Nagle (IRL) - Citroen DS3 WRC
[Laughing] I slid wide on a long right hander. That's the margin at this level. What a beautiful stage. Still not perfect and we'll continue to try to be perfect. When you get more experience the speed comes more naturally. I can't be a flash in the pan, I have to maintain this.

3. Kris Meeke (GBR) / Paul Nagle (IRL) - Citroen DS3 WRC
(Riant) Jai bien glissé sur un long droit, c'est bien la limite à ce niveau. Quelle spéciale superbe. Nous ne sommes pas encore parfaits mais on va continuer d'essayer. Avec plus d'expérience, la vitesse devient plus naturelle. Je ne veux pas donner l'impression d'être un feu de paille.

3. Kris Meeke (GBR) / Paul Nagle (IRL) - Citroen DS3 WRC
(Naurahtaa) Luisui leveäksi pitkässä oikeaaan kaartavassa mutkassa. Tällä tasolla löytyy marginaalia. Kaunis pätkä. Ei vielä täydellistä, jatketaan täydellisyyden tavoittelemista. Kun saan lisää kokemusta vauhtikin alkaa löytyä. Ei voi olla pelkkä välähdys, tästä täytyy pitää kiinni.

What an incredible stage, fantastic to drive. We were trying not to take chances but it's easy to get caught out.

It was a horrible stage, we jumped out of the road, I thought it was the end of our rally. It's a really fast stage and I was braking everywhere. I will try to get back on the next stage.

Kauhea pätkä; hyppäsimme tieltä ja luulin, että meidän ralli päättyy siihen. Todella nopea pätkä - jouduin jarruttamaan jatkuvasti. Yritän päästä taas vauhtiin seuraavalla pätkällä.

[Car has rolled but made it to the end of the stage] Not far before the end of the stage. I had a slow puncture, I span, reversed into a ditch and it rolled over.

(On kaatanut autonsa mutta päässyt EK:n maaliin). Alussa osui penkkaan, ja rengas alkoi vuotaa. Vähän ennen pätkän loppua osuttiin taas penkkaan ja spinnattiin siitä kyljelleen ja kaadettiin.

20. Hayden Paddon (NZL) / John Kennard (NZL) - Hyundai i20 WRC
When nobody knows the stages we can have a go. We're overdriving a bit and losing some time. Sometimes you don't know where the jumps are so they take you by suprise. It's easy to go into the corners too deep and lost the exit speed. An easy stage to make a mistake.

20. Hayden Paddon (NZL) / John Kennard (NZL) - Hyundai i20 WRC
Quand personne ne connaît la spéciale, on a tous nos chances. Nous survirons un peu ce qui nous ralentit légèrement. Parfois on ne sait pas où sont les jumps qui nous prennent donc par surprise. On peut rentrer trop fort dans un virage et ne pas en sortir à la bonne vitesse. C'est facile de commettre des erreurs sur ce genre de spéciale.

Pätkä joka ei ole tuttu kenellekään antaa meille mahdollisuuden menestyä. Vähän yliohjaa ja menetämme aikaa. Aina ei tiedä missä hypyt ovat, ne tulevat yllätyksenä. Mutkiin menee helposti liian syvälle ja siinä hukkaa vauhtia. Tällä pätkällä tekee helposti virheitä.

We had a puncture when the right front tyre hit a rock but it doesn't look like the suspension is damaged.

Nautin todella tästä rallista. Suomi on paras! Täytyy olla varovainen seuraavalla pätkällä, sillä siellä ajettiin tieltä viime vuonna. Auto on hyvä ja täällä ollaan.

I didn't expect these two first stages to be so fast. Maybe I was a bit too cautious. Our speed is good and the car is working very well.

We had two punctures on SS6. The first one was near the start and we stopped to change the wheel. About two kilometres later we hit a big stone and broke the right front tyre. We are now planning to put the rear tyres on the front and drive the next two stages with a flat rear tyre.

Nous avons eu deux crevaisons dans l'ES6. La première quasiment au départ et nous avons changé la roue. 2km plus loin nous avons heurté une grosse pierre et crevé le pneu avant droit. On va intervertir les pneus avant et arrière et rouler les deux prochaines spéciales avec un pneu à plat.

Meillä oli kaksi rengasrikkoa EK6:lla. Ensimmäinen kävi lähellä lähtöä ja pysähdyimme vaihtamaan rengasta. Noin 2km myöhemmin osuimme isoon kiveen, joka rikkoi oikean eturenkaan. Suunnitelmamme on nyt vaihtaa takarenkaat eteen ja ajaa seuraavat kaksi pätkää tyhjällä takarenkaalla.
