It's definitely better. Really enjoying it now so I can work a bit more on my driving. Let's hope it continues like this. It's quite hard work on a rally like this where confidence is the key to success. If you try to force yourself to do more you make mistakes and that knocks you further back. You need commitment over the crests and keep the throttle down.

Cela va vraiment mieux. Je peux plus me concentrer sur mon pilotage à présent. J'espère que cela va continuer de la sorte. C'est dur quand la confiance est l'élément moteur. Si on se force, on risque de commettre des erreurs et cela vous entraîne encore plus bas. Il faut un vrai engagement sur les côtes sans ralentir du tout.

Sujuu todellakin paremmin. Nautin ajosta ja pystyn parantamaan. Toivottavasti tämä jatkuukin näin. On kovaa työtä ajaa tällaisessa rallissa, jossa itseluottamus on avain menestykseen. Jos yrittää pakottaa itsensa tekemään enemmän, sortuu virheisiin ja putoaa tulosluettelossa. Täytyy olla päättäväinen ja pitää kaasu pohjassa yli nyppyjen.

We had a good stage on the previous one, this one was not that bad but wow the guys are really fast! It's just the small things here and there. I can't afford to make any mistakes, I'm losing time straight away.

Without the rear wing there is nothing to do for us. The car has a completly different balance and it's very dificult to drive. We have to fix the car now and we have some small adustments for this stage and some suspension adjustments.

Ilman takasiipeä ei voida tehdä mitään. Auton balanssi on ihan erilainen, ja se on kovin vaikea ajaa. Pitää korjata se ja tehdä pieniä jousitussäätöjä seuraavalle pätkälle.

A junction right, I just ran wide and lost all the momentum. When you are not perfect it's not possible to go fastest, but I'm OK. I'm totally happy, I'm totally confident. At this game, at this level when you run six inches wide you lose tenths of a second. It's an incredible place to drive a rally car.

3. Kris Meeke (GBR) / Paul Nagle (IRL) - Citroen DS3 WRC
Dans virage à droite, je suis parti trop large et ai perdu tout mon élan. Il faut être parfait pour être plus rapide mais je me sens bien. Je suis très content et j 'ai confiance en moi. A ce petit jeu, la moindre erreur de trajectoire coûte quelques dizièmes de seconde. C'est un endroit incroyable pour piloter une voiture de rallye.

Oikealle kääntyvässä risteyksessä menin vähän leveäksi ja hukkasin iskun. Kun ei ole täydellinen, ei voi olla nopein, mutta olen OK, ihan tyytyväinen ja luottavainen. Tämän tason pelissä jos menet muutaman tuuman leveäksi, häviät heti sekunnin kymmenyksiä. On tämä uskomaton paikka ajaa ralliautoa.

Generally we are doing much better, we will try and settle the areas where we are too cautious and go better this afternoon. The bits which are flat are really difficult and you lose to the experienced boys.

Anything I have done before is irrelevant. This is a whole different ball game. It's hugely difficult, the speeds are so high it doesn't accept any errors so it's step by step but I'm quite pleased.

We are just enjoying and having fun. It's not raining and there is not much we can do in this position. We don't want to take risks. I like the other stages more as these are such high speed.

The stage was OK, but I was lacking confidence in the end part. I did quite a lot of mistakes and braked early. Keep the car on the road and not make big mistakes. I just need to trust myself a bit more. I don't feel confident going into a flat corner. We'll see on the second loop.

La spéciale était sympa mais je manquais de confiance vers la fin de l'ES. J'ai commis quelques erreurs et ai parfois freiné trop tôt. Il faut garder la voiture sur la route sans faire de bêtise. Je dois croire plus en moi surtout dans les virages rapides. On verra bien pendant la deuxième boucle.

EK oli OK, mutta loppupuolella ei ollut oikein itseluottamusta. Tuli paljon virheitä, ja jarruttelin aikaisin. Pidetään auto tiellä eikä tehdä isoja virheitä. Pitää luottaa itseensä enemmän. Nopeisiin mutkiin mennessä tuntuu epävarmalta. Katsotaan toisella kerralla.

Everything is OK. I think for us, it's going OK. No dramas. I hope the second time is easier. There are a lot of jumps, I hope we can do better the second time.
