I don't know exactly how impressive knocking the wheel off was. We got to the car to the end of the day and got the eexperience without using SuperRally. It's a big step forward from last year.

No problem but if you drive fast in this kind of conditions you can make a mistake on this fast roads. We need to wait for rally Germany now. We lost five or six minutes yesterday with a mistake.

Finally at the finish without a problem. First points in the championship, now we can start from this rally and can do better in the future for sure. Top ten, this kind of road is not so bad.

The beginning was horrible after some good test we made some mistakes. I am  happy to finish after two years without seeing the finish line. I was faster this year even if the other guys are also improving, we are happy with our improvement. Happy to be in the points..

Alku oli kauhea. Vaikka testit menivät hyvin, teimme virheitä. Olen iloinen, että pääsen nyt maaliin, siinä olikin kahden vuoden tauko. Olin nopeampi tänä vuonna. Muutkin ovat parantaneet, mutta olemme tyytyväisiä omaan kehitykseemme. Hienoa päästä pisteille.

It took time to find my pace and still a little missing and still feeling that I could push more. At least I didn't roll this time. I enjoyed it, really enjoyed being in the car. A really good feeling. Really nice being here. I don't know about the future any more than you do.

Vei aikaa löytää vauhti, ja on se vieläkin vähän hukassa. Tuntuu, että olisin voinut puskea kovempaakin. No, en ainakaan kaatanut tällä kertaa. Nautin kyllä autossa olemisesta. Tosi hyvä tunne; tosi hienoa olla täällä. Jatkosta en tiedä enempää kuin sinäkään.

6. Ott Tänak (EST) / Raigo Mölder (EST) - Ford Fiesta RS WRC
After that big disappointent at the beginning you are not in the mood of fighting for a position, So we were trying to find the good lines and concentrating on the notes. I was pushing and it was a good experience, first time at this speed on these roads, it's been fantastic.

6. Ott Tänak (EST) / Raigo Mölder (EST) - Ford Fiesta RS WRC
Alun ison pettymyksen jälkeen ei oikein ollut intoa taistella sijoituksesta. Yritettiin löytää hyvät linjat ja keskittyä nuotteihin. Hyökkäsin ja se tuntui hyvältä. Ensimmäistä kertaa tällaista vauhtia näillä teillä, on ollut fantastista.

7. Thierry Neuville (BEL) / Nicolas Gilsoul (BEL) - Hyundai i20 WRC
We had some problems at the begining of the race. Our crew did an incredible job fixing the car. We got fourth place and couldn't expect more. I can't be happy with this but the position is good.

So nice to be at the end, it's been a fantastic weekend, I am so glad to be back and fighting after Poland. I am so happy to be on the podium . We know why we are competitive and I hope to be able to continue. My preferred stage was Ouninpohja even if it was not the one I preferred before. Ouninpohja is a stage that yo either love or hate, we have a romance now!

Todella mukavaa päästä maaliin; viikonloppu on ollut fantastinen. Mahtavaa olla taas mukana kamppailussa Puolan jälkeen. Olen iloinen podium-paikasta. Tiedämme miksi olemme kilpailukykyisiä ja toivottavasti pystymme jatkamaan näin. Ouninpohja on nyt suosikkipätkäni, vaikka näin ei ollut ennen. Ouninpohja on pätkä jota joko rakastat tai vihaat ja minulla on nyt romanssi meneillään!

Amazing battle, amazing weekend. This rally once again I really loved it, amazing to drive the Finnish roads. Jari was so strong again, I have no problem to be beaten by such a Jari-Matti. So strong.

Mahtava taistelu, mahtava viikonloppu. Rakastan tätä, ja taas kerran oli mahtavaa ajaa Suomen teillä. Jari-Matti oli taas tosi vahva, eikä minua harmita, jos noin vahva kaveri voittaa minut täällä. Vahva suoritus.

2. Jari-Matti Latvala (FIN) / Miikka Anttila (FIN) - Volkswagen Polo R WRC
It was a fantastic rally. I had a really good drive, especially Saturday when it was one of the greatest drives of my life. I concentrated for three weeks on this event, I realised after Poland my championship was done and I needed to win this rally. It's a great feeling to win this rally three times and now this is the second in a row. Juha Kankkunen won this rally three times.

2. Jari-Matti Latvala (FIN) / Miikka Anttila (FIN) - Volkswagen Polo R WRC
Oli mahtava ralli. Ajo kulki hyvin, ja erityisesti lauantaina ajo oli minulta parhaimpia ikinä.Keskityin tähän kisaan kolme viikkoa. Puolan jälkeen tajusin, että mestaruuteen ei ole mahdollisuuksia, ja että tämä ralli pitää voittaa. On mahtavaa voittaa täällä kolmannen kerran ja nyt toisen kerran peräkkäin. Juha Kankkunen voitti tämän kolme kertaa.

The last two days have totally been driving so I have a good experience and to learn more about this event. Maybe a small beer later. We've waited for this for three years now. Championship in this class is possible, but my goal is to win the championship in WRC one day.

Kaksi viime päivää on vaan ajettu menemään, ja nyt on kokemusta ja oppia tästä kisasta. Ehkäpä nautitaan pieni olut myöhemmin. Kolme vuotta tätä on odotettu. Voihan se mestaruuskin kenties tulla tässä luokassa, mutta päätavoite on voittaa maailmanmestaruus isommassa luokassa.

I really enjoyed the weekend, I liked the roads, it's been a good experience to be here, The team has done a fantastic job and thanks to the co-driver who has always been so nice. My first time with a 4WD and hope to be back next year. Aim was a top five finish, have finished second on the podium, very pleased.

40. Pontus Tidemand (SWE) / Emil Axelsson (SWE) - Skoda Fabia R5
Nautin todella tästä viikonlopusta. Pidän näistä teistä; on ollut hyvä kokemus olla täällä. Tiimi on tehnyt upeaa työtä ja kiitokset kartturille, joka on aina yhtä mukava. Ensimmäistä kertaa nelivetoisella, ja toivottavasti tullaan taas ensi vuonna.

Very happy with a third place on the podium. Could not catch the Skodas ahead, they were in a class of their own.

Not bad for my first time over here. It was daunting on the first day, it's tricky and needs a lot of local knowledge. We had a great set of pace notes and the cars been pretty good. Overall performace very, very good and I gained loads of confidence. Not bad for my first time in Finland. It's amazing , I could drive on these roads for the rest of my life and I'd be very happy.

Ei huonosti ensikertalaiseksi täällä. Ensimmäinen päivä tuntui musertavalta; konstikasta ja vaatii paljon paikallistuntemusta. Meillä oli upeat nuotit ja auto on ollut melko hyvä. Uskomatonta; voisin ajaa näillä teillä koko ikäni ja olisin onnellinen.

70. Anders Grøndal (NOR) / Roger Eilertsen (NOR) - Citroën DS3 R5
The stage was very good but we had some mistakes in the pace notes. I actually got lost in the pace notes. He was giving me the right notes and I don't know what is missing. Sixth place is ok, I am happy to be there after a difficult start to the season. we have to do more testings to get more grip on the car. We have had no problem on the car whatsoever.

Pätkä oli oikein hyvä, mutta nuoteissa oli joitakin virheitä ja sekosin niissä. Kartturilta tuli oikeaa nuottia, enkä tiedä mitä puuttui. Kuudes sija on OK, ja on kiva olla täällä alkukauden vaikeuksien jälkeen. Pitää testata lisää, että saadaan autoon enemmän pitoa. Autossa ei ole ollut minkäänlaisia ongelmia.

We tried to finish the race as it's important for the future. After our mistake on Friday, it was not easy to continue but we managed thanks to the mechanics and the team. The time is not bad on that stage but it could have been faster.

Pyrittiin pääsemään maaliin, koska se on tärkeä juttu tulevaisuuden kannalta. Perjantain virheen jälkeen ei ollut helppoa jatkaa, mutta pystyttiin siihen - kiitos mekaanikkojen ja koko tiimin. Tämän pätkän aika ei ole huono, mutta olisi se voinut olla paremminkin.

To sum up the weekend it has been very bad, On Friday we had a accident on stage 3 and got bored waiting in the forest for recovery, We lost a rear wheel on restart and then we had troubles with the radiator. But problems won't beat us and we are very relieved to drive through the last stage. We are hoping for some good pictures over the jumps.

Yhteenveto viikonlopusta on, että se oli tosi huono. Perjantaina sattui haaveri kolmospätkällä, ja tympäisi odottaa metsässä poispääsyä. Uuden startin jälkeen menetettiin takapyörä, ja sitten oli ongelmia jäähdyttimen kanssa. Mutta murheet eivät meitä kaada, ja oli helpotus ajaa viimeisen pätkän maaliin. Toivotaan, että hypyistä on saatu hyviä kuvia.

We pushed hard as we wanted to win here it's important for the team, we had a perfect we, The car was ok and we did a good job too. [Gilbert wins WRC3.They jumped out of the car and hugged each other then the codriver went down on his knees and bowed his head. The French and Finnish crews then congratulated each other]

Puskettiin kovaa, koska haluttiin voittaa täällä. Se on tärkeää tiimille. Auto oli OK, ja mekin tehtiin hyvää työtä. (Gilbert voitti WRC3:n. Hyppäsivät autosta ja halasivat  toisiaan. Sitten kartturi meni polvilleen ja kumarsi. Ranskalainen ja suomalainen miehistö onnitteli toisiaan.)

We did all we could on this one, but he was just faster. I am very, very disappointed. But I won't always be like this! (Lost only 0,5 seconds to Gilbert.)

It's been a tough weekend, It's not easy here, really challenging roads and the last stages are amazing. You have to get to the finish and we've been working with our pace all weekend. It's getting better and better and our pace notes are getting better. It really helps to do the rally a couple of times, then you can drive really fast. I'm looking forward ot the rest of the season.

On ollut rankka viikonloppu, ei helppoa. Todella haastavia teitä ja viimeiset pätkät olivat uskomattomia. Täytyy päästä maaliin asti ja olemme tehneet töitä vauhdin löytämiseksi koko viikonlopun. Paranee ja nuottimme paranevat. Auttaa todella, kun ajaa rallin pari kertaa, sitten pystyy menemään todella lujaa. Odotan innolla loppukautta.

This was our first time in Finland and we have had no opportunity to do any testing before the rally. It's been a difficult event but we have gained some valuable experience for the future.

The pressure was off us today having built up a good lead. The problem we experienced on the last stage yesterday was an electronical problem with the ECU but that got fixed last night. It's always amazing to drive in Finland and this has been the drive of my dreams! Craig has done a fantastic job.

Ei ollut paineita tänään, sillä johtomme oli huomattava. Viimeisen pätkän ongelmat eilen johtuivat sähköviasta moottorin ohjausyksikössä, mutta se korjattiin eilen illalla. Suomessa on aina uskomatonta ajaa ja tämä on ollut unelmien ajo! Craig on tehnyt fantastista työtä.

(First car to retire on Thursday evening, came back on Rally2 regulation). My first rally Finland and only my third rally on gravel stages. We still have a lot of work to do to improve our times. I will take back very happy memories from Finland and learn from our mistakes. Our next event is the Rally of Germany which I consider my "home" event.

(Torstai-illan ensimmäinen keskeyttäjä, joka palasi kisaan Rally2-säännön perusteella.) Ensimmäinen rallini Suomessa ja kolmas sorarallini. Paljon on vielä töitä, että saadaan aikoja paremmiksi. Vien Suomesta mukanani mukavia muistoja, ja virheistä opittiin. Seuraava ralli meillä on Saksan MM-ralli, jota pidän kotikisanani.
