It's been a tough time for me, so it's important for me to change the course of my championship. It's my home rally. This stage was ok, a couple of small mistakes but it's OK to start like that. I was a bit worried about the grip.

There are a lot of spectators, a great atmosphere. I think a fastest time so I can't be happier now. I look forward to tomorrow. The Finnish guys are always very fast in Finland. Maybe I have more experience and can gain on that. We have to be steady tomorrow but be fast and avoid mistakes.

Paljon katsojia, hieno tunnelma. Nopein aika, en voisi olla tyytyväisempi. Odotan innolla huomista. Suomalaiset kuljettajat menevät aina lujaa Suomessa. Ehkäpä pystyn hyötymään kokemuksestani. Täytyy mennä tasaisesti mutta lujaa ja välttää virheitä huomenna.

It was good. I've always hated that stage, there is no way you can make a mistake as you can break something. The rally starts tomorrow and the car feels good.

I just turned the wheel too early and I just hit the tyres. It was a stupid mistake but OK. Tomorrow will be the start, this is a real rally and we'll see the times. We also had a pop-off issue so we lost a lot of power.

It's really nice. It's a lovely stage, it's very different to all the opening stages in the World Championship. You have the tarmac and you don't have any of these artificial jumps. It's a really nice stage.I think it's also very nice for the spectators.
