It's good experience. It's been fairly disasterous, nothing has really worked. We'll go back to the old settings and hope that we can get back onto the pace again. Opening the road and we wanted to try some things to bridge the gap but they haven't worked for me. We'll put it back and hopefully it will feel better.

I don't know about the times as the guys are coming from behind really fast. I've never driven such slippy stages in Finland. OK so we don't have to push but it would be nice to know how to get more grip because it's really slippery.

We hit a rock in Päijälä and that damaged our tyre, lower suspension arm and track rods. From there on it has been a bit of a survival game. The steering wheel is some 20 degrees crooked to the left, but it's driveable.

We're down a cylinder. Not entirely sure why. After the first stage we lost power and on the road section we're trying all sorts of things. We've changed the spark plugs, we've been checking the coils. We can tell from the engine that we're down a cylinder but we don't know why. It's been a high-speed recce but it's so good to see so many fans out there. We've been able to enjoy it a little bit more, checking the notes. We're looking forward to the afternoon.

Meiltä on yksi sylinteri pois pelistä, mutta en ole ihan varma miksi. Ekan pätkän jälkeen tehoa katosi, ja siirtymällä kokeiltiin kaikenlaista. Vaihdettiin tulpat ja tsekattiin puolat. We've tried to stick to our own strategy and driving. It hasn't been an easy morning. The roads are in good shape. There has been a lot of action and some crews have dropped off. We'll just try to survive, stay out of trouble and keep the good rhythm to the finish. It's good to continue from here.

On yritetty mennä sitä omaa taktiikaa ja ajoa. Éi ole ollut ihan helppo aamupäivä. Tiet on hienossa kunnossa. On ollut vähän tapahtumaa, ja sieltä on jäänyt porukkaa pois. Yritetään selvitä hyvällä rytmillä maaliin saakka. Koitetaan pysyä poissa ongelmista. Tästä on hyvä jatkaa.

We had some problems in the second stage but it can happen. The last stage was good but the stages on Saturday are really, really difficult. I hope in the next loop we can take it a little bit better.

Indeed, these are the finest roads. We are the fastest of the older Fiestas. We've found a good rhythm and the notes are coming just fine. This is only our second rally together. Last year's Neste Rally was the first one. I haven't driven a a single rally since then before this one and I tested the car only once before this rally.

Kyllä nämä niitä hienoimpia teitä ovat. Ollaan nopeimpia vanhan mallin Fiestoista. Hyvä rytmi on löytynyt ja nuotti tulee hienosti. Kartturin kanssa tämä on toinen kisa. Viime vuoden Neste Ralli oli eka. En ole itsekään ajanut muuta tässä välissä. Kerran kävin kokeilemassa autoa ennen kisaa.
