We fixed the problem but the thing we are a little disappointed with for the day is fighting hard with the cleaning, and the guys behind having a push, I can't catch them so we had to stay behind and see what happens and go for the Power Stage.

The feeling is fabulous. It was about to get spoiled when the car flipped on its side for a second in Kakaristo 1. We found the reason: it was clearly a mistake in our pacenotes. We were flat out on a big straight with crests, and then there was a downhill left-hander. I pulled the trigger and straight it went. Luckily we suffered hardly any damage.

Hemmetin hyvä fiilis. Meinas kyllä vähän latistua, kun käytiin kyljellään Kakaristo 1:llä. Syy siihen selvisi: ihan selvä oma moka nuotissa. Tultiin täyttä pitkää nyppysuoraa, ja oli pudottava vasen. Painoin liipasinta ja sehän liukui suoraan. Ei tullut suurempia vaurioita.

Well today we didn't roll but I'm so frustrated because I can't get the right rhythm here because of the road condition. Typical for here. We are here to learn so let's go for tomorrow. The roads are really rough. We didn't take any risks and the car is OK.

Tänään ei tullut kaatoa mutta turhauttaa, kun en löydä oikeaa rytmiä teiden kunnon vuoksi. Niin tyypillistä täällä. Olemme täällä opettelemassa, joten nyt kohti huomista. Tiet ovat todella rajuja. Emme ottaneet turhia riskejä ja auto on OK.

There are more things broken than usual but that's the way it is. I think the guys at the front are incredible. Especially Tänak who was opening the stages yesterday. The stages are finished and there's nothing more to say about that. I think there is no better compliment than to finish a stage (chuckles).

Enemmän on rikki kuin yleensä, mutta tällaista tämä on. Edellä ajavat kaverit ovat uskomattomia, erityisesti Tänak joka eilisen pätkillä avasi tietä. Erikoiskokeet on nyt ajettu eikä niistä ole enempää sanottavaa. Minusta paras kehu erikoiskokeelle on päästä sen maaliin (naurahtaa).

46. Paulo Nobre (BRA) / Gabriel Morales (BRA) - Skoda Fabia R5
It's two different rallies in the morning and afternoon. In the afternoon the roads are really destroyed and in the ditch you can find rocks that weren't there before. In the second stage of today we rolled the car and drove the third and fourth with a window broken. But we had a lot of fun. Here, it's a dream for every rally driver. Imagine, two Brazilians like us.

Aivan kuin kaksi eri rallia aamulla ja iltapäivällä. Iltapäivällä tiet ovat todella pahassa kunnossa ja ojista löytyy kiviä, joita niissä ei ollut aiemmin. Päivän toisella pätkällä kaadettiin auto ja ajettiin kolmas ja neljäs pätkä ikkuna rikki. Hauskaa oli silti. Tämä on jokaisen ralliajajan unelma, niin myös meidän kahden brasilialaisen.

111. Patric Öhman (FIN) / Aki Sparre (FIN) - Ford Fiesta R2
It has been an OK day. We had a lot of action in the morning. We had that one puncture, but we tried to play it safe and dodge every stone we could. On the second pass especially the early part of Pihlajakoski was quite rough so we took it carefully as well as the small road in Päijälä. Maybe a bit too carefully, but here we are now without any major problems. We've still got tomorrow ahead of us so let's see what the score will be.

Ihan hyvä päivä. Aamupäivässä oli aika paljon tapahtumaa meillä. Oli se yksi rengasrikko, mutta yritettiin kuitenkin tulla varmasti ja kiertää ne kivet mitkä pystytään. Toisella kierroksella varsinkin Pihlajakosken alku oli rajussa kunnossa, ja otettiin se tosi varman päälle samoin kuin Päijälän pieni tie. Ehkä vähän turhankin varovasti, mutta täällä ollaan nyt, ilman suurempaa ongelmaa. Vielä olisi huominen päivä edessä, katsotaan mikä sitten olisi tilanne.

106. Lauri Joona (FIN) / Markus Määttänen (FIN) - Ford Fiesta R2
When you take to these stages for the first pass, you drive a bit faster. On the second pass there are stones that have emerged from the ground and you have to take certain places carefully. There were lots of ruts in this one and we had to be careful with them. We also had to take the rough spots carefully not to destroy the suspension. Other than that, the day has been good and the routes have been fabulous.

Ensimmäistä kertaa kun lähdetään näitä ajamaan, niin silloin ajetaan vähän kovempaa. Toisella kerralla kiviä kaivautuu tosi paljon esiin, ja pitää ottaa tietyt paikat varoen. Tällä pätkällä oli todella paljon spooria, jotka pitää ajaa tarkkaan. Isoihin röykkyihin pitää ottaa varoen, ettei riko alustaa. Muuten on päivä mennyt hyvin, ja hienoja reittejä on ollut.

I'm surprised we are here which a lot of our competitors aren't. I'm grateful for that. I'm still lacking a lot of confidence. I'm relatively happy with the pace for being first time here on these Finnish roads. I'm having an absolute blast and loving it. The roads are really truly something special. I'm loving the event and can't wait for tomorrow.

Olen melko tyytyväinen vauhtiin, onhan tämä ensimmäinen kertani suomalaisilla teillä. On sairaan hauskaa, rakastan tätä. Nämä tiet ovat todella erityisiä. Tykkään todella tästä tapahtumasta ja tuskin maltan odottaa huomista.
